About the hosts

The Scandinavian concept of ‘Friluftsliv’ (Outdoor life) encourages us all to spend more time outdoors and enjoy every moment of nature where we can. It is this concept which brought the idea of Westcoast Living in Sweden to life back in the Summer of 2021 and resulted in our move to Sweden and live the Westcoast life in Bohuslän.

Ellen and Edwin settled on Tjörn in West Sweden in 2023 - after many vacations there -and started their Bed & Breakfast Lilla Räven. Lilla Räven, meaning Little Fox, is the sister company of our family business OXFOX, which itself reflects our surnames: OX (“Os” in Dutch) and FOX (“Reintje de Vos” in Dutch).

Lilla Räven Bed & Breakfast is nestled in the middle of nature on the charming island of Tjörn. For nature lovers, the local area boasts lush landscapes and serene walking trails, beautiful bathing spots, ideal for relaxing strolls or picnics. Don't miss the chance to visit the nearby island of Orust a rural paradise with stunning views of the coast.
